About Community Peace

Ten Years of Community Peace   (pdf document)
What happens to community when trust is lost … in each other, in institutions, in the common good? What is lost to our society when every resident is a possible victim and very neighbor a potential perpetrator of violence? How can communities take important steps to reduce violence and promote peace? How does the entire society benefit when community peace is achieved? These are the fundamental questions of the violence prevention movement, a movement that the Institute for Community Peace has led for more than a decade.
